We are Monumental Strategy. Since 2016, we have worked with businesses, non-profits, candidates for public office and government officials to help them effectively communicate with their customers and constituents.

Aaron Smith
Chief Executive Officer

Aaron Smith is the CEO of Monumental Strategy. In this capacity, he works with organizations of all sizes to implement marketing strategies customized to their needs. He previously served as Senator Dan Coats' Digital Director both in his Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis offices.

Aaron also won his race to serve as the city councilor for Noblesville’s 3rd District. This district represents the bulk of Old Town, a portion of Monterey Village, and the neighborhoods on both sides of SR-37.

Among his many passions, he lists his love for C-SPAN Radio, Teddy Roosevelt and cycling at the top. 

He proudly lives in Noblesville, Indiana with his wife Bronwen and his wheaten terrier, Teddy.

MARSHA COATS

Marsha Coats most recently served as Indiana's republican national committeewoman. In this role, she has traveled around the State of Indiana and throughout the country representing the interests of Hoosiers for the Republican Party. 

Prior to her experience with the RNC, Marsha worked as a family counselor in private practice and in the office of the U.S. Senate Chaplain. She has served on multiple boards and is very active in her community. 

Outside of her professional career, Marsha is married to Dan Coats, former Indiana senator and director of national intelligence. Marsha and Dan have three adult children and ten grandchildren.

Curtis Honeycutt

Curtis Honeycutt is a Noblesville, Indiana-based humor writer. He writes the award-winning syndicated column “Grammar Guy” that has been published in over 100 newspapers. He also has experience in branding, marketing campaigns, article writing, video scripts, and promotions. Curtis serves as the treasurer on the board of directors for the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.

Amy Timmerman

Amy Timmerman is a communications professional with experience in brand development and crisis communications. After graduating from the University of Dayton, Amy received her Masters in Public Administration at George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School. She got her start on Capitol Hill in Senator Dan Coats’ office before opening the communications shop for Republican Chief Deputy Whip Drew Ferguson. She is now Director of Communications and Marketing for the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library.

LOYD "ALDIE" Warnock

Loyd “Aldie” Warnock is senior vice president of External Affairs, Communications and Public Policy at American Water, the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company. 

Prior to joining American Water in 2014, Mr. Warnock served as the senior vice president of External Affairs at the Midwest Independent System Operator, Inc. (MISO). Other previous experience includes serving as vice president of External Affairs for Allegheny Energy, senior vice president of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs at Mirant Corporation and vice president of Regulatory Affairs at Reliant Energy.
