Education Level: In pursuit of or recently completed a 4-year degree, preferably concentrated in a communications field

Summary of the position:
The Communications Coordinator’s purpose is to help clients of Monumental Strategy improve their communication efforts internally and externally. In this part-time, entry-level position, the ideal candidate will report directly to and work with Aaron Smith, the CEO of Monumental Strategy, as a project manager for specific clients. He or she will be responsible for implementing strategies and creating content to promote client initiatives through video, email marketing, social media and other mediums.

Our office believes in separating time on and off the clock, so when you’re at home you are not expected to be on. We do request, however, that you are flexible with your schedule to accommodate client needs and are willing to work in the evenings and on weekends, as required by clients.

Experience, Knowledge and Ability Required:

  • In pursuit of or recently completed a 4-year degree, preferably concentrated in a communications field

  • Experience promoting a brand or organizations with social media

  • Experience managing websites on platforms like Squarespace and/or Wordpress

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

  • Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges and ideas

  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs and offer creative solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Aaron to establish and meet communication goals for client stakeholders

  • Communicate project progress with Monumental Strategy CEO

  • Manage projects, organize tasks, and prioritize workload

  • Organize and manage marketing calendar for clients

  • Draft weekly newsletters for clients

  • Design infographics as part of marketing materials

  • Serve as administrative contact for clients 

  • Flexible schedule to staff client events

  • Other duties as assigned
